"I'm going to be an artist when I grow up!" -AMD, age 3
Alycia has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Public Art from California State University Monterey Bay. Working independently worldwide since 2012, she has 20+ years of painting experience.
She studied painting for a year at L' Accademia di Belli Arti in Florence, Italy, confirming her path to mural painting and commissioned art.

Between studying in Italy and learning with professional muralists & public artists at CSUMB, Alycia had decided by her senior year that murals were going to be the best way to share her talent.
The Loggerhead Turtle's Voyage [pictured below] was a group project she helped paint at a high school local to CSUMB. A great experience working in a big team and with the realm of community art it helped her narrow her specialty to commission work focusing on individual customers.

In 2015, Alycia returned to the 5 Cities area on the central CA coast. And in 2017, she started work getting involved with the city public art opportunities in Grover Beach. Finally, in 2019 there is really great progress and the city has it's first new mural in decades! Hopefully the progress will snowball and bring about more opportunities and public art to the city. Starting in 2022, Alycia will be local to the South Seattle area but still back on the Central Coast plenty.
REVIEWS:
"I want to thank Alycia for doing such a fantastic job on my mural. I gave her a bit of information about what I was wanting, really not much more than the feeling or vibe I wanted to create in my home. In a short period of time, she showed me some sketches of what she had in mind. (She had done some research based on the info I provided her) I liked what I saw and we talked about it. She made a couple of minor adjustments. Next she came to my home and drew the design on the wall with chalk. I really liked it and she made a couple more minor adjustments. The next time I came home . . . there it was! Beautiful as I could have ever imagined! The house was cleaned up, there was no mess and the mural has created a loving space in my home which was exactly what I envisioned and wanted! Thank you Alycia for your creativity, excellence attention to detail, follow through and clean up! My living space is greatly enhanced because of my beautiful mural! Thank you!"
